  1. Dear Dr. Lederer,

Thank you so much for this very helpful blog. Do you know anything about Fibrosing mediastinitis? My dad was diagnosed today. He is being treated at the National Jewish Hospital in denver. Would you recommend any expert for a second opinion? What is the prognosis? Thank you so much once again

    1. Hi. Sorry for the late response. National Jewish is really the perfect place for your father to be evaluated and managed. His doctors there can give you much more specific information that I could -- meaning that their information will be tailored to your dad's specific situation. I with both you and him all the best.

  3. It looks like if you look deep enough you may be able to find out what caused one's PF. Why are patients who know the cause of their PF are excluded from clinical trials? My wife's PF was caused by bleomycin toxicity from chemotherapy. About 99.9 percent of clinical trials are for IPF patients only. Will this ever change?
